Hello everyone, has anyone had any experience with PHCS (Private Healthcare Systems). If so what was your experience and what are the requirements for approval for WLS? Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Shon

STAY AWAY! I made the HUGE mistake of using them about 4 years ago. They paid for next to nothing for me on any issue at all! They also had a "per incident" deductible (mine was $1000) instead of per year, which I did not realize until too late. I have never wasted so much money in all of my life! It just so happened that several illness issues arose right when I had that sorry insurance. I paid them to have insurance that literally paid next to nothing to any doctors, hospitals, etc. I even reported them to my state's insurance commisioner. I was told by their own rep not to get maternity because it would be so expensive, and blah blah blah... Anyway, I ended up with a high risk pregnancy and they paid absolutely NOTHING for any of the issues at hand. This included a kidney stone I had at 7 months pregnant, which was unrelated to the pregnancy! They currently have a class action law suit against them, and I've been invited to join, but frankly I washed my hands of them 2 years ago, and want nothing else to do with them... Oh, and they were a part of the NASE then. (National Assoc. of the Self Employed)
