thanks so much to all *****plied to my pleas for support and suggestions. I just signed up for information about a Class Action Lawsuit. It was listed in the "Moving headline" at the top of this forum. If you're interested and can't find it, here's the site: www.obesitylawsuit.com/obesity It's says there is no cost to participate. I figured it couldn't hurt and might just help move things along. These insurance companies aren't going to budge unless they are forced to. They are in the business to make money no matter what they say. I pay over $700 a month to Uniform Medical Plan and this surgery is absolutely necessary for me but no way will they consider it!

Karen, I'm fighting insurance also (written exclusion) and I mailed letters just yesterday to my insurance's Medical Review Board, the chief Medical Officer of the same company, CMO of BCBS (they denied me in October), the state Insurance commissioner, the governor, two of our state senators and two of our state house members. I sent each of them a copy of the plea letter I wrote to my insurance company along with a different cover letter for each. In each of their cover letters, I told of the numerous class action suits that were already in progress, and that even though, I, personally, don't believe in class action suits, as the only one who usually benefits to any great degree is the attorney filling the suit, that I have given my significant other instructions to file a PERSONAL lawsuit on behalf of my estate should something happen to me that very possibly could have been prevented by my having the surgery. I stated in the letters that my S.O. would be sueing for the maximum amount allowed by law for wrongful death because in my opinion, they would have committed MURDER. Don't know if this will do any good or not, but I don't have a lot to lose at this point. Maybe more of us should let it be known that if we are denied and something happens, the insurance companies can look forward to many more of these PERSONAL wrongful death law suits. Good Luck and I will be praying for each and all of us. Jeannie
