Help me sort out this with Regence BCBS

I'm so discouraged!!! I live in Atlanta, GA. My company is out of Salt Lake City, Utah. We have Regence BCBS of Utah. I have gotten one denial stating that there is an exclusion. I went ahead and scheduled a consultation for Thursday 1/6/04. I was just called and informed by my surgeon that they have been in contact with my insurance and they said that they will not cover even the consultation. So, I've had to cancel my appointment for my consultation because it's $400 and I have a single income family with a one year old and just cannot afford that. But I really need help sorting this whole thing out. I have talked to numerous people at regence and have gotten a million different answers. My employer has been helping me out tremendously and put me in contact with our benefits guru.
