Got a Insurance ? for ya'll

I am getting ready to go back to work after 3 yrs. Our insurance is Great West, its thru my hubbys job. If I take the insurance out with my new job, will I be able to use it as well as my secondary to Great West? If this insurance covers WLS, of course. Thanks Angela
