BC/BS Anthem- Great Insurance! Quick Response! APPROVED!
I wanted to let anyone whom has BC/BS Anthem Blue Access--that I got a approval within 4-5 days of submitting to them. I am barely over 100lbs. overweight and also do not have that many health problems. It was either the great letter Dr. Wheeler out of Ashland Kentucky put together or just a good day for me. But I was approved fast! It also covers 100% of the surgery. I done alot of research on this board before being submitted and I did want to let the people out there know there is hope for a quick and speedy approval from this insurance company. Dr. Wheeler's team of professionals had alot to do with getting this approved I'm sure. So if you need help with getting approved and need a surgeon contact Dr. Wheeler in Ashland Kentucky. Good Luck but I wanted to let u know their is hope for a 1st time approval.

i am so glad to hear that.
I have anthem bc/bs but i dont have the same story to tell about them.
They have been telling me for the last few months that i am covered, they even told a surgeon that i was covered, so i submitted all my paperwork and i had it all ready for approval. Then they wanted my doctor to submit a form to them referring me to the surgeon, and when i called the insurance about that. They told me to go to an in=network surgeon and even helped me find one, gave me the name and address so i did that. I did all the paperwork for that and then that surgeon tells me that i have an exclusion and my insurance won't pay for it. I cant even get a consult, when a surgeon calls anthem, they tell them i have an exclusion and none will see me. I havent been denied because i cant be seen by a surgeon, I am at my wits end trying to figure this all out.
I need insurance help bad. Everyone keeps telling me to make sure they are right, and that they are not reading it wrong..
I really am glad that you got approved.. I just wish i could too..
