Hi everyone, I told myself I would not and will not walk away from the ones that are still fighting and hurting to get WLS. I fight a long and hard battle with my insurance company to get my WLS which finally happened on 12/09/04. I'm here to tell you all. DON'T GIVE UP!!! Keep fighting for what you feel is right. Your doing this for your health and happiness. I saw my Surgeon on 12/16/04 and I am down 23 pounds in a week. Now lets all get that out of us and fight those SOB's. Donna

Congratulations Donna!!! 23 pounds in one week is AWESOME!!! I am so happy for you. You fought the battle and won. That is just so great. What a way to ring in the new year! I am in the process now of looking for a new job that will hopefully not have an exclusion to WLS in their policy like my current job does. Keep your fingers crossed for me, my husband's employer just offered them insurance so he is signing us up. Hopefully his new policy will cover WLS. Although I believe it will be BC/BS and I heard that they will no longer be covering WLS after 2004?!? Does anyone know if that's true? If so, please let me know. Again, congrats on being a LOSER!!!!!

I think that's a rumor on BCBS not covering WLS starting 2005. Aetna is not going to cover WLS starting 2005. Call your husband HR or find out who you can call to talk about the BCBS they are offering to your husband. Ask them if they cover WLS and if so what are the guide lines. Donna
