RNY in Brazil

Hi everyone, I had my RNY in Brazil on 07/27/04, I am now 33 pds. from goal and never felt better about myself. I hope everyone here is able to get their surgery in the US and paid for by their insurers. Congratulations! I have a (disability) client who went there for a DS, and a had a face lift while she was there. She too, only had good things to say about the experience. I had looked into going to Brazil or Costa Rica for my reconstructive surgery if my insurance didn't pay. However, I kept coming back to the same conclusion. If something went wrong post op, who would take me on at home as a patient? I know most Bariatric and Plastic surgeons do not want the liability of fixing some other surgeons mistakes, or even problems. I haven't had ANY problems post op so far, and I'm 18 months post op. However, problems can occur somewhere in my future. I wish you all the best, and most importantly, no complications, ever.
