Unicare is BCBS, it's just marketed differently. They are both owned by Wellpoint, in some states. BTW, a Patient Advocate is someone who writes appeals, and helps get bills paid correctly by the insurance companies. I am a Patient Advocate and there are others who do the same type of work. We usually have experience working for insurance companies, so we know how the process works internally. Good luck, and get that appeal filed!
