preexisting condition?

I've not had medical insurance for over a year and a half, but I'm going to purchase BCBSNC insurance at the beginning of 2005. I've already read their policy and it seems as though I fit all their requirements for WLS, but I was wondering if morbid obesity would be a preexisting condition. The BCBSNC policy states that preexisting conditions are defined as those conditions for which medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment was received or recommend within 12 months of the date that your BCBSNC coverage becomes effective. Since I've not even been to a doctor in the last 12 months would they be able to call it preexisting?

Correct me anyone if I'm wrong. I don't see how it's going to be preexisting when you have not been treated for anything within the last 12 months starting in 2005. If your worried then call and find out for yourself. Call the insurance company or your HR. Donna
