Aetna Coverage

Hi, I have Aetna ppo, and have just begun my approval process with them. My family Doctors office has spent 3 weeks not sending out my records, so I am fairly early in the process. I have received a letter from Aetna asking for records to show that I meet their requirements. My surgeon's office said to begin weigh ins with my family doctors office in case I need to wait 6 months, I am just wondering about all the rumors that Aetna is discontinuing coverage for wls, and if the 6 month process will keep me from getting approval. I do not have 6 months of med. spvsd. diet history in the past 2 years, although I have 2 weigh****chers attempts and some occasional weigh ins. I had a weight loss of 35 lbs about 3 1/2 years ago with WW, but don't have my records. Any thoughts about how I can speed the process up and not end up with a denial?

My Doctor's office is now calling and working w/ Aetna to see whether the policy change will affect me since my husbands company began with Aetna June1, and whether or not I will be able to get everything done by then if I need the 6 month spvsd diet. I'll let you know what I hear. Hopefully your surgeons office can get information from Aetna. I am considering hiring Gary to help as well, even though my doctor's office has not worked with him yet. (They seem open to it). '
