I finally was approved!!

Hello Friends, I am happy to announce that I am now Approved for Gastric Surgery and we are looking at the week of December 13th for surgery. After a year long battle with insurers, we have prevailed! Praise the Lord! I thank God for my doctors, nurses, my family and this site for assisting me with my appeal letter. Now I am ready for the long lifestyle change ahead. Thanks so much for all of your advice and encouragement. I think the appeal letter did the trick and having all of the facts together. I did not have to fight an exclusion, but I had to fly through all of their hoops to qualify, which I did the first time only to get denied and then I had to appeal. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (TRS-Active Care). I am so excited and ready for this. Thanks to all of you. If you have any advice to share about pre and post-op surgery let me know.
