After 8 long months...

I'm finally approved for the DS I got the call this morning from Gary Viscio, my attorney who told me I was approved. He received the letter from my external review organization detailing what they reviewed and that they felt due to the 'preponderance of the current literature' the procedure was safe and effective. I'm seriously floating on cloud 9. I called my surgeons office and they need the 'official' letter from insurance before setting my date in stone and hammering out the details but for now I'm penciled in for November 22nd. I'd like to also give a special thank you/shout out to Melissa Mermaid - she helped me hang in there after my second denial when I was really down So the moral of the story is fight them tooth and nail to the very end - I finally am approved after my external appeal Now I just have to get on insurances butt to send the letter, and get all my leave approved thru work Now the fun stuff can start I had to share my joy with everyone!
