tummy tuck bc/bs of illinois

does bc/bs of illinois pay for tummy tuck, what are stipulations? Is everyone having a hard with this company getting approval for gastric bypass? If so, why?

Call BCBS and ask if it's covered under your insurance. I know that my husbands BCBS of IL won't pay for a tummy tuck. Yoir HR should be able to tell you also. I can only speak for myself when it comes to dealing with BCBS of IL. I have had nothing but problems with BCBS of IL approving my WLS. It's like the left hand don't know what the right hand is doing. I get a different story every time I call and check this out. Gary put an appeal in on my behalf. They denied it over the phone and by mail. Now I get another letter stating that they are reviewing my appeal now. I call and I'm told it's in the appeals deparment and my surgeons office is told it's in the legal deparment. Go figure I'm not the only one having problems with BCBS of IL. Not everyone is having trouble with BCBS of IL I wrote an appeal for Don L several months ago, and they overturned the denial within a few days. Fight the good fight! Roberta

That's one person out of how many that are still getting jerked around by this insurance company. You can't get a straight answer from this insurance company. It's sad. Donna
