Need help denied for 6 mos diet/nutrition/exercise.Dr.left practice.Did not document.

I have to do the 3 mos. regiment.Anyone know a Dietician/Nutritionist that works well with people seeking WLS in the florida region?Also do it have to be in person? Can you have online consultations?Just denied today thru Aetna.

Read your denial letter carefully. Does it say that you need a physician supervised nutrional diet, or a nutrionist evaluation? Call your insurance company and have them fax you a copy of their utilization review guidelines that their denial was based on. That will give you the particulars of their requirements that you need to satisfy. Post the paragraph from your denial letter that addresses the diet requirement, and I may be able to give you some more insight into the issue. Fight the good fight! Roberta
