I posted before about my insurance(Americhoice) needing documented diet history of which there is next to none, I spoke to my PCP and she said she would go through my records and put together some info to submit to the insurance company. I then received a phone call from Americhoice, they assigned me a case worker, who now is concerned about my day to day health problems. She said the medical director is leaning towards recommending me for some program for diabetics that they have, I told her not to sign me up for it yet I want to wait for a formal decision, but then i got a brain storm (that doesn't happen often lol) maybe I should disenroll from Americhoice altogether, I am on SSI and am allowed to have straight Medicaid. Ok enough yacking-my question is should I disenroll from Americhoice and Use straight Medicaid? Is it easier to gain approval from them? Has anyone had any dealings with Americhoice that has been approved? Please contact me I can use all the help I can get

email [email protected] he's from New York. New York has a cool law that makes them cover anything medically necessary even if it is excluded. Good luck.

It can be difficult to find a surgeon who accepts Medicaid. Call around, and see what you find. Medicare is difficult enough to get approved, and there are no pre-approvals. Good luck to you,
