Very Worried-almost in tears

I just got a call from my surgeon's office they said they heard from the insurance company and they said everything looked good BUT they have no documentation that I have been on any diets, like Jenny Craig or Weigh****chers or something like that, they asked if I had and can provide proof, I told them truthfully, I could not afford to be on such programs being on SSI, the only diet help I had was with my primary physician, we have been trying for years through nutritional changes and exercise to reduce my weight with no significant loss. Now the procedure was her idea but I have a sinking feeling they will deny this procedure, I am so crushed, i thought it was going to be easy sailing given my health problems. Now I'm not so sure.

What company do you have? I had a same denial and used Gary at www.obesitylawyers.com, at the very least he'll point you in the right direction. Sometimes they do this just to scare you away. Good luck. El

Deanna, This can easily be done WITHOUT spending $500 for a lawyer. The only time I see these people post about the great luck they had with an attorney, is when someone is in a panic. Please feel free to email you and I will be happy to give you a few appeal letters.
