I was denied due to the 12 month consecutive within last 24 months, weight loss condition. I am appealing this decision because I am 130 lbs overweight and I believe I have met that condition. Whatever info. or advice anyone would could give would be helpful. My doctor is Dr. Naaman and his office can't believe the hassle that insurance companies are giving patients *****ally need it. Information is POWER!

I'm sorry Kinberley that the insurance company is doing you this way but there are many of us out here fighting to get approved. All I can say is, DON'T GIVE UP. Donna

Kimberly, My only advice is prepare now to fight all the way. If you don't have to file another appeal so what, but if you do you are ready to send it once you do get denied. Prepare to send in a letter to the TX Dept of Insurance with any complaints that you have against your insurance company and remember to copy BCBS of TX on that letter. I am in the process of fighting too. I know that if it is meant for me to have this surgery, I will. Good luck! Beth
