i was denied , sending in appeal.

well my journey began 06/06/04 , i had a person at my insurance company to tell me that wls was included in our plan , unfutunatly i didn't get that person name , she was probably new , after she told me that i started my journey , i found my doctor to do my surgury , i did all the test needed for surgury , then summitted paper work and was denied , my pcp was surprised my bmi is 68.1 my weight is 397 and i am 5'4 . since i was denied on 07/21 i have been gather all this information for my appeal , was told 4 years ago by my pcp doctor that i needed a sleep apnea test because of all the system i had , when i was doing all the test in june , i decided not to tell the dr office that was doing the wls that i needed to do a sleep apena test because it would delay surgury , but since i was denied i am getting all the info i need together for my appeal . my pcp wants me to wait for the sleep apena test before i send any info. my pcp sent a letter the first time stating that i would make a good candiate for wls , but he didn't state that it was medically nesscary for me to have the wls , he is going to do the letter he just wants to wait till my test comes back , so i will be submitting all my info for my appeal in about 2 weeks i needs everone support .i want to thank everyone who has help me thank you so much.

Sherry, Make sure you track exactly when they received the appeal, and *****ceived it. Then follow up on it. Don't accept anything verbally. Any response to your appeal has to be in writing. Good luck. Gary Viscio obesitylawyers.com
