Just to take a minute to say Thank You for all of your posts here. It helps so much when we have to write the appeal letters. Unfortunately, I am amongst this group of people that is having problems in getting the insurance company to pay for this life saving procedure. We have to stick together and fight to the bitter end. It is an exhausting ride, and mine is just beginning. I hope that everyone here has and encouraged others to print out the letters listed under "GET ACTIVE" at www.obesitylawyers.com. If we send these letters to our government there is a chance that we will be heard. We have to be LOUD and let them see that we are being discriminated against. Believe me, the government should not want for more people to be put on disability/ Medicare that what has to be. For many of us, we are knocking on that door. Have a great day everyone.... Beth, Good for you!! more people need to step up on the soap box, choose a cause, and get on board. I think we need to lift our brothers and sisters, and truly help. Help comes in many shapes and forms. I have posted my appeal letters on the insurance help forum, in the hope that those who cannot afford someone else to do the research and write the letters will have a place to start. Best regards.

There was a petition that went directly to congress without advocating any one particular law firm. I am not willing to make Gary Visco my spokes person. He seems like a nice enough person, but my personal belief in this fight is to help others without monetary gain. There are several lawyers who have had WLS, and I applaude them. There are thousands on these boards who cannot afford the extra expense of someone wanting to "help." Altruistic is not self serving. I also applaude your taking a stand. Best regards.

Beth, You rock, you have been doing your research!! and that is what it takes. You are now one of those special few, who are really trying to help make a difference. You do what is right for you. Remember Opinions are like a**holes, everybody had one, and some stink, and to many mine will stink. Follow your heart girl!
