should i call BC/BS?

Hi guys, I keep getting the runaround from my surgeons office. Last week I called several times to make sure they had all my paperwork to submit my claim. They had to check on it and never called me back. Should I just call BC/BS to see if the claim has been submitted. Since I can't get an answer from the surgeons office? kellie

Definitely give BCBS a call. I called weekly to check up on the status of my claim and they were always really nice about it. Of course, they didn't always have an answer for me (or the answer I was hoping for...lol), but they can at least confirm when/if it has been received and that it is under review. It usually took my claims about three weeks from receipt to response. You have nothing to lose by calling. Sandi (AL)

It's your insurance so you have a right to call and check on up on any claim. I got the things rolling much faster when I called BCBS myself. Don't be rude, just tell them your why your calling and wondering what's going on with it. Donna
