Confirmed today that our insurance will be required to have same exact benefits/options, whi*****ludes WLS if medically necessary....So I may still have a long road ahead of me, but at least I know it doesn't dead end!!!

Hi Traci. Just make sure you meet all of there requirements. It seems as though most insurance companies want you to be on a physician-supervised diet for at least 6 months. Start early and make sure you have everything clarified to avoid disappointments.

Yes, i will def do that.....as soon as i know what they are!!! the lady in HR explained that all insurance companies go off of the National Institute of Health's criteria for determining need for WLS...If it's medically necessary anyway!! what confuses me is that some approve while others don't.....

That's so to hear Traci. I'm so happy for you. Just fallow EVERYTHING they want you to do as so many of these darn insurance companies find any little thing to turn you down and delay your surgery. Donna
