external appeal

explain this external appeal to me. on what i would have to do. So that i can inform my doctors office

Hi Palmetto Peach, I live in Marietta. I assume you are referring to the external appeal level through your insurance coverage. You would write an appeal and request an external appeal with a physician actively practicing within the field of Bariatric Surgery. DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS! The insurance company, thru an outside vendor, would send your entire file to a physician for review. Most likely, you would be approved, IF you have all your ducks in a row as far as documentation.
