aetna and bp/amoco

hi i was wonering if anyone has been approved with aetna open access through bp /amoco if so how long until approved thanks cathy in port saint lucie florida

I have Aetna too. I haven't applied for approval yet, still doing the six month diet. I actually expect to be denied and here's why. A lady at my husband's work just had the surgery and was denied the first time she sought approval. She sent them a letter stating that her doctor said she would need a knee replacement if she didn't lose the weight so Aetna then approved her surgery. I don't have any major problems such as needing a new knee......yet. I'm ninety percent sure I'll be denied but I plan on perservering and never giving up. I figure eventually Aetna will have to approve me. I'll just keep trying to do the things they want me to do and if they decide to be really unfair, I'll get a lawyer. Lynda
