Contradictory Exclusions - BCBS IL

I have been reading the exclusions on my insurance policy. There is an exclusion for nutritional counseling however, it is REQUIRED to be done prior to being approved for WLS?!?!?!?! Does that make sense? Just wanted to vent. Thanks for listening! Heather

I have not contacted them at all since I received the denial. I am working with the insurance folks at my surgeon's office. In addition, I am thinking of working with Gary, the attorney who posts here frequently, in creating my appeal. They have ALOT of contradictions in their documentation and everytime I send more information, they send another request for more info. Thanks! Heather

Gary is fighting for me so let's all beat the pants off BCBS of IL. They don't seem to have their act together at ALL. Donna
