What's with BCBS of ILL?

Is seems like BCBS if ILL is the only one giving EVERYONE a hard time. What gives with this company? Donna

Sometimes I wish I would have kept my old insurance at my job, Geisinger and traveled the 90 minutes or more to get to the clinic for WLS for Geisinger. STUPID ME Now I'm wondering if I should have my husband drop me at the first of the year and pick up insurance from my company. They have Geisinger and BCBS. I could get the books from my HR and read up on if BCBS covers WLS but then again they can change their policy at the first of the year. Donna

Im telling you I am ready to camp out down there and raise a ruckus. I have never had this kind of stalling and lack of professionalism in my entire life. Policy changes midyear without notice are unacceptable and their CSR's nice as they are seem to have no clue. They probably throw darts at appeals and that is who gets approved or not. Sorry to vent but they are testing my every last patience......

Not a problem, VENT as much as you want. I know your anger with this Insurance Company. Makes you wonder who is running the place. I'm scared I'll be either in a wheel chair or worse 6 feet under by the time they give me the approval to have WLS. Donna

Hi Heather, I'm still waiting to hear back from them on my appeal. They have 60 days like we do and the 60 days is not up yet. I can't talk to much about it openly here as it's pending with my lawyer. Donna
