PROOF OF 12 MOS DR SUPERVISED WEIGHT LOSS-HOW STRICT?

Hi, I am TOLD that my insurance co will cover medically necessary WLS but requires proof of dr. supervised weight loss attempts for 12 mos. My insurance is OPTIMUM CHOICE/MAMSI. Has anyone else dealth with this? Do I really need to go another 12 months?

Hi! I am not sure about this insurance co. but, I can tell you that most insurance cos are pretty strict about it. Be careful and VERY comprehensive! Good Luck!
