I am battling my insurance company, and I have been in contact with Gary about getting help. Since I found him on this internet site, I don't know much about him. Is anyone willing to supply a reference or two? Just wondering out things have gone for others who have used his services. (I know you check out the board, Gary, so please don't take this the wrong way. I'm just doing my homework!) Thanks, Linda

He helped me in New York and I know if you email him he will provide references that he has cleared with his clients, I wouldnt expect any lawyer to list their clients or give advice online

Linda, I contacted Gary Viscio, obesitylawyers.com, before my bariatric surgeon's office submitted my initial paperwork. A letter from him introducing himself and saying that I had retained him to oversee the claim process was included when the paperwork was sent in to Cigna. I was approved in 2 days. However, besides the letter from Gary, I had spent 13 months gathering documentation for submission. I met all the requirements Cigna put forth for approval. I do think the letter from Gary helped by letting them know up front I was not going to play their games of denial and appeal. I think he brings a unique perspective to this choice having had personal experience with it. Gary has been professional, informative, supportive, knowledgeable, accommodating and I would hire him again and probably will in a year when I need a tummy tuck! Good luck to you in your journey.
