Pre existing Condition

I'm currently battling the insurance issue with Independence (Personal Choice) Blue Cross out of PA. My husband just started a new job today and he will have Anthem Blue Cross and from what I saw on the DS board today they have approved the surgery as long as BMI is over 50. My question is will I have to redo any tests or will they consider the tests a preexisting condition since they were done before the insurance was available to us. I want this surgery no matter what it takes (other than self pay because that is just not a possibility at all). Does anyone have any info? Thanks, Elizabeth pre op Dr Gonzales 270 BMI 55

If you have not had a break in coverage for more than 60 days, the pre-existing clause does not apply to you. http://www.cms.hhs.gov/hipaa/hipaa1/default.asp You most likely will not have to re-do any tests, those resuslts can be forwarded. Becky
