HELP W/APPROVAL

MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW IS HAVING THE HARDEST TIME GETTING APPROVED. SHE HAS BLUE CROSS. sHE HAS TURNED IN ALL HER MEDICAL RECORDS AND HAS 4 DOCTORS TELLING HER SHE NEEDS THE SURGERY. SHE HAS MET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS BUT BLUE CROSS KEEPS TELLING HER THAT SHE NEEDS MORE INFORMATION. IS THERE ANYONE OF YOU THAT HAVE HAD PROBLEM WITH BLUE CROSS THAT COULD RESPOND. SHE IS EVEN THINKING ABOUT QUITING HER JOB JUST TO GET A DIFFERENT INSURANCE. PLEASE REPLY THANKS

What information do they say they still need? Chances are she already gave it to them, but it is "lost." Tell her to find out exactly what is needed to perfect her claim, and then send it to them FEDEX or UPS. Never use fax or mail with insurance companies.

Firstly, quitting her job is not a good idea. She may end up working for a company who may have some exclusions....then she would be in a bigger mess. I would suggest that she ask one of the case managers at BCBS what exactly is the reason whe is not getting the approval. I got denied for my surgery, and it was all because they needed proof that I really did try on my own to lose weight for atleast 6 months and had Dr.'s documentation on it. So, just ask....it can't hurt.
