bc bs of georgia, lap band not covered?

my ins states that they consider the lap band to be experimental and will only cover the bypass surgery. has anyone ever gotten them to pay for the lap band.

I am going though the same thing with bcbs and I medically cannot have gastric bypass because of an esophagus problem and have been denied three times for lapband have you had any luck
