CUT OFF!

I started my journey last May of '03 I finally got a consultation appnt in Sept 03, right before I was going to get my surgery scheduled, I was called and told that my surgeon would not accept my insurance (Medicaid-HIP), before surgery they told me they did accept just "straight" Medicaid. After 3 months fighting with medicaid to change my plan and failed at that also, the surgeon, moved his office and does not accept any type of Medicaid. What to do now, I'm ready to give up.

Most surgeons don't accept Medicaid. Start calling around, and find a surgeon who will. Don't give up! Roberta

I talked to a lady recently who said she had Medicaid and had her surgery through the county hospital with no problem.
