Does Anyone know of any financing companies?

Hello I have United HealthCare and I was denied due to a policy exclusion. I have insurance through my husband and his employer said that they would help in anyway, but they can't make any changes to the policy (?!?!?!?). I've talked to people who've hired a lawyer, but they say that the problem is not with the insurance company, but through my husbands employer. What really makes me so angry is that they will cover substance abuse rehab, but they will not cover WLS. To me, that is just absurd. Being obese is life threatning and if we're here is because we've exhausted all possibilities; but someone who willingly does harm to their body is covered. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone would know of a good financing company that would finance this surgery? I cannot wait around to fight them. What they're doing is cruel, and I hope they never find out how it feels being morbidly obese and have everyone turn their backs on you.

AMEN sistah!! but seriously, i was told the same thing. ITs not the insurance company, its actually the employer so i am going to call to see how it can be disputed. IT really should not be like that. As far as financing, i know it can be done. I saw one website called something like affordablegastric.com or somethign like that, where financing is available and the actual cost of the surgery is not that bad compared to others HOWEVER, the Dr is in South America! Great!! can't win

Hi Natalia, just wanted to thank you for your input about your insurance company. I swear they make me sick!! I'm gonna try the finance link,also. I won't hold my breath waiting thought because my credit is horrible!! But i can probably get my mom to take it out for me. I wonder if it has to be in the person name that is having the surgery?Well good luck with your application!! JIllian
