Ins approved but for open not Lap

Help! My insurance has approved my surgery but, they approved it for open surgery and not Laprascopic. I need to file a appeal to see if I can get them to change this. My insurance is Blue Cross / Blue Sheild National coverage. PPO

Greg, My mom is seeking surgery. She also has BCBC/PPO. They approved her for an open as well. She needs lap. Her doctor said open is cheaper and that she would have to resubmit for lap. Hope you get what you want.
