Wow..this insurance help forum is pretty neat.. ive been reading all the posts... Anyone who knows me ...knows my problems..LOL My husband works for walmart and ive been told that I might as well roll over and play dead, because Walmart will never pay for it. They write up their own policies. Ive even spoken to the weight loss attorney, before going for a consulatation and he wont even take a case concering Walmart. which Sux... So...my question is and always is... Does anyone Know of anyone who ever got the wls ...with Walmart's plan??? Should i even try...and anyone got any ideas for alternatives?? self pay is not...an alternative, but then I make just a few hundred dollars to much for medicaid...so any ideas??

Do you work? Try to coverage thru your employer. Some states will pay for surgery thru their Vocational Rehabilitation departments, if losing weight will make you employable. Of course, you could always buy an individual insurance policy...

Oh gosh...where to start... my job does not offer any health benefits. and Ive been denied from all the individual insurance plans, as soon as you tell them your weight, your automatically denied..and ive tried about 5. I did get in touch with voca rehab...but they never return my calls or emails. Something tells me they dont want to deal with me. I live in ky, they have this plan called Ky access.. and its a program for people who get denied thru other insurance companies. its about 400$ a month which is a big steep, If i knew they would cover me, i would try and budget it and keep that insurance for a couple years. But I dont see many people posting about Ky access insurance under the insurers pages here..maybe i should make a post for it..I think i will!!....lol thanks Roberta for replying...and trying to help, if you think of anything else..please let me know..or if you hear of anyone who has the walmart benefits plan getting approved or ky access....please let me know..ok? again Thanks.. Kim
