Insurance approved but for open not Laparoscopic

I have Blue Cross Blue Sheild National insurance. I received the approval letter today Febuary 10, 2004 but it was for open surgery and not for Laparoscopic. They say that the Laparoscopic is experimental. I have to send a request for review of my case. Any help on this matter would be helpful.

I have a question for you... i also have the Blue Cross Blue Shield National. Do you have yours through your job?? IF you do, did they mention anything about exclusions with you. THey told me that i had it which truly upset me but seeing yours gives me a little hope. I dont even mind about the open surgery. Can't wait for your response
