Insurance denial

Just received my deinal letter from Aetna.Im devastated and very depressed that my March 3rd surgery will be cancelled.

Hi Candi I'm sorry to hear that you were denied. Did they state what was the reason for? I am in the waiting game of hearing from Aetna for my approval and am a basket case. My surgeons office faxed in all my info and requirements this past monday and I figure I would give them a call at the 1 week mark and that will be tommorrow...I noticed also that they updated their insurance online. have you checked that out yet? it was done on the 3rd. Anyways keep fighting them..I've heard sometimes you have to appeal to get that approval. Good Luck in your journey. Shauna

Candi, So sorry to hear of your denial. Aetna has very strict rules and hoops that you must jump thru before getting approved. I still cannot believe a surgeon would schedule you for surgery before getting an approval. It makes no sense to me. Let us know why you were denied, maybe we can help. Fight the good fight! Roberta
