AV MED FEDERAL

They claim to cover surgery for morbid obesity but have not seen it done in the past 6 months. I am on second denial from them because they want a diet history that was submitted with package. They will try to deny coverage in any way possible including slow payment to your PCP and any other healthcare provider you are refered to. My suggestion to my fellow federal employees, get rid of AV MED and contact OPM with complaints.
