READY FOR LIFE??????????????

I need to know if any one else out there has had similar experiences with insurance company denials related to mine. My husbands insurance company is Blue Cross/Blue Shield with the Minnesota Laborers Health and Welfare Fund which is a Comprehensive Care Services, Inc. which all goes through Zenith Administrators because my husband works for Local Union #563 in MN. I called them ahead of time to find out if they cover and I was told yes, to go ahead and submit all of my information. I have been persuing this since January 2003. Everything that has to be required to be done has all been done. November 12 I recieved the denial letter because it states in the policy book that they will not cover any charge or loss for weight loss for obesity due to any organic conditions, whatever that means. Now I guess I have to appeal. But does it even pay to appeal since they have already stated what is and isn't covered in the policy book?
