Insurance Cap

I have Medical Mutual Super Med Plus and as of July 1st, 2003 they put a cap on what they will pay for WLS it is $10,000.00 I have been told that the remaining balance would be my resonsibility, I am looking into other options including a "Medicare Assignment" suggested by one of the members. I am in the process of waiting for the Doctor's office to say yes or no to the medicare suggestion. I am approved and cleared, I just need help with how to get the surgery performed

To be honest with you, I had Cigna and the way they are, I would welcome them saying they would pay $10k. Usually you can save by trying a prepay and then see if you can be reimbursed by insurance. Not sure though? Good luck with the Medicare though, one of my friends had no problem with them! ~Judith~
