Anyone Have Aetna?

My husbands work is switching from Cigna to Aetna come Jan.What are thier requirements for surgery?

Hi there Audrey, I have Aetna ppo and I'm half way through one of their requirements 6mo dr supervised diet and exercise within 2 years of sugery you have to have a consultation with a dietian or nutrition and have BMI of 35 with co-morbs or 40 with out..A PCP letter of necessity and well here is the link to check it out for sure and always keep up with them because they have changed twice now since Jan 03 but I think for the better.. http://www.aetna.com/cpb/data/CPBA0157.html Number 157 Hope that helps and Good Luck!!
