anyone with bmi of 39.5 and UHC PPO been approved?

I am waiting to hear if I have been approved for the Lap RNY... I am worried cuz I just got our insurance changes for 2004 in the mail today and UHC will not be covering anytype of obesity surgery.. I am afraid that they will stall me for 2 months and then tell me they don't cover it anymore.. Help!!

Is this for your particular policy or what? I am waiting on a UHC approval too. My BMI is 50. According to them they do not even have to pre-authorize, but my surgeon wants that in writing I guess. How long have you been waiting. I have not heard anything about wls not being covered in the coming year for UHC, only Cigna. I have been waiting since October 20th for an answer. Marsha
