I was told in July that Cigna HMO Of GA required 2-26 weeks diets under a physicians contoleed diet plan. I am in the 16th week of the 1st diet with my PCP and want to know can I do Weigh****chers at the same time? What other diets does Cigna consider physicials controlled? Once I do this can they change the pre op requirements again? How can I inform them that I am in the middle of this and keep the status the I currently have with out them requiring me to jump thru another hoop? Any and all adivice is apprecitaed.

Hey there Diane; Apparently, Cigna can change the rules in the middle of someone's plan and it is allowed as they have done to MANY of us this past year....! Are you wanting to do WW along with your PCP to speed up the process or? You cant do 2 and get the requirements fulfilled faster.... A monitored diet with a PCP will be fine, just make sure you are doing monthly weigh ins and I would keep a diet journal (Im sure your PCP has some little books that you can log that info). My nutritionist has given me something that looks like a checkbook that you log all that info into. Hope this helps! ~Judith~
