denied again due to lack of organic condition!!!!!!!!

my insurance is blue cross blue shield of minnesota which is through minnesota laborers union Zenith Administrators,inc. They denied me for the second time for their exclusion that states,"The plan does not cover any loss, expence or charge which results from weight control or treatment of obesity not cause by ab organic condition." what does that mean? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have NEVER heard of that... What I would do is call them and ask for a supervisor and ask them for written material stating EXACTLY what an "organic condition" is and what it entails.... Im sure if you mention that you would like to have "Your Lawyer" look at that, they may be a little more helpful, lol!!! Good luck! Judith

THEY STATE THAT AN ORGANIC CONDITION WOULD BE LIKE A THYROID CONDITION OR SOMETHING MEDICALLY CAUSING MY OBESITY. MY DR. NURSE SAID I WOULD BE WASTEING MY TIME TO PURSUE BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE WRITTEN EXCLUSION IN THEIR POLICY SO I AM LOOKING TO BUY INSURANCE THROUGH A AGENT AND I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS DONE THIS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REPLYING IT MAKES ME FEEL NOT ALONE. I NEED ADVICE !
