i called BCBS on Monday a...

i called BCBS on Monday and was told that I had been approved for the surgery and that a letter of approval was sent to my PCP. Called PCP to and was told that they had not received it so called insurance back and they told me today that they were waiting on some more info from surgeons office. Does anyone know what is going on?

Maybe... and this is just a theory... Could they be waiting for a surgury date to put in your approval letter? I also got approved on Monday (by cigna) and was told that it was very important that I get back with them and let them know my surgery date. However, that wasn't gonna hold back my approval letter. (my surgeon doesn't give out dates until he has the approval in hand). Just a thought... Good luck hon April
