My doctor in St. Louis, (Dr. Eagon) submitted my insurance coverage request. Whe I had my consultation he indicated that they had been some of the easiest companies to work with. However, I just talked to the company about my status and they told me that they no longer provide services for the Roux-Y gastric bypass surgery. The problem with this is that I had talked to the insurance co. about exclusions and what I was going to have and at that time they never mentioned that it is not covered. I also talked to Dr. Eagons nurse that submitted the papaerwork and she had also called them about exclusions and they even made sure she sent the right paperwork and everything they would need for approval. This is getting very frustrating. They paid for the consultation but not the surgery, does this make any sense?
