Just now applying for health insurance.

I'm just now applying for health insurance which is bcbs and hope to be accepted i've never really worried about insurance being that i'm a homemaker but besides that i'm trying.I wanted to know has anybody just went to a surgeon and got his/her opinion instead of a family dr. and is it possible for the surgeon to approved you instead of waiting on your dr. reason why i ask cause mt dr. feels as though i'm not a candiate EVEN THOUGH I"M A 24 YR OLD FEMALE WHO WEIGHS 240lbs and this is my last hope on being fit and energized also do you think i should find another physician when he's not fullfilling my needs?
