Hi All, I have a big problem. Hope you can help me out. I met with the surgeon on Wednesday, he approved me for the surgery. They told me they had to get it approved by my insurance company, and they are schuleding surgery's for 2-3 weeks from now. Sounds great to me. Well I go into work the next day and find out the the place will be closing down in 4 weeks. That means no insurance after Nov.1. If I'm approved and have the surgery in Oct. they still have to pay for it, don't they? I talked to someone at the center they said they would call me back today but never did. I hate being in limbo...uhgggg Thanks for your help- Annette

When leaving a job, whether it's your decision or not, you are entitled to COBRA coverage. The price you pay depends on the coverage you have now. You may also do a 'net search for COBRA coverage and find independent insurance companies that you can get coverage from. I know it means paying out money, but unless you get another job quickly, it may be your only choice. Are you married and does your spouse have coverage? If so, get on their insurance plan and use that.
