Can't get PCP records

My PCP closed up shop and I can't get the necessary records. BC/BS PPO won't even consider the claim even though they have legal action pending on this doctor about al thier patients records! Does anyone have any other ideas? I have requested older records from a doctor in a previous I saw in another area. I'm at an impasse and don't know what else to do. I have everything else BC/BS PPO of Florida wants but the records from the most recent PCP.

Is there a local hospital there that might know who has his records? By law, he must either have his patients pick up their records, and/or sign them over to another doctor. He has to keep them for a period of time. Check into that. Best of luck to you!!
