Discount Family Healthplan???

I'm just starting to look into WLS (want it, just can't figure out how to pay for it). I have insurance through my previous employer (now using COBRA). They specifically state they do not cover anything related to weight loss. I was contacted by a company called Discount Family Healthplan. It is not insurance, it's supposed to be either a replacement for insurance if you don't have any or a supplement if you have a high deductible, etc. They say that I could have bariatric surgery and it could be discounted 80% (though they admit it might be more like 70%). Has anyone heard of this or used this? Is it legit? Thanks! -Karen Feder
