cigna denial after first appeal

i was denied after my first letter to cigna. My doctor has called and done a peer-to-peer with the doctor that denied me and they are going to gather some more info, and hopefully that will turn it to an appeal. I was denied because they said that I didn't have any supervised weight loss dietsin the past. What more do they want???? Any suggestions please HELP!!

Hi Della, Just hang in there...sounds like you have a good dr. that is willing to go the mile with ya...I have cigna too and got approved after my second level appeal..now I'm just waiting for the letter so my surgery date can be set...I had a conference call w/cigna, their dr., their nurse, and the gal from my dr.'s office it only lasted 10 minutes...three minutes later the gal from cigna phoned me back and said your approved!! This just happened last week...so it will happen just see it through.....good luck..God bless..Karen
